PETALING JAYA: Lee Chong Wei won the first Super Series title of 2012 when he downed Olympic champion Lin Dan in a thrilling three-setter 12-21, 21-18, 21-14, in the US$1.2mil Korea Open Sunday.
The match lasted well over an hour.
It was sweet revenge for Chong Wei, who had lost the tournament to Lin Dan last year.
The victory will give Chong Wei a huge morale booster over his nemesis in his bid to win Malaysia's first gold medal in the coming London Olympic Games. - theStarOnline
